Dr. Maxwell graduated from Glendale Community College School of Nursing. She worked for ten years as an operating room nurse with an emphasis on orthopedic and spinal surgery. During her graduate years in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at Arizona State University, she spent four years working with chronic pain patients, including failed back, RSD, and other chronic pain conditions. In 2000 she graduated with her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Arizona State University. Since then, Dr. Maxwell has continued to work exclusively with medical and surgical patients, providing psychological testing as well as individual therapy.

He graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Southwest Center, in 1998 with a Master’s of Science in the Physician Assistant program. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants. He is Physician Assistant-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Inc. He is also certified in Active Release Technique. His clinical focus is pain management.
